Name the fandom, the characters and what happens, and Hemmingway writes the fic: a missing scene, an alternate universe, a quiet hour between two people the canon never gave one. It keeps to the characters as the source shows them and writes new scenes and new dialogue for them.
Your idea and the canon you give it are fixed. Dialogue and small details it invents, as any fic writer does.
What makes it work
- Say which version. The novel or the television series, the games or the show, which season.
- Use the words fans use. Missing scene, canon divergence, coffee shop AU, fix-it, hurt/comfort, fluff, gen.
- Give a plot, not only a pairing. "Those two, enemies to friends" is a tag. "They are stuck in the same carriage for four hours and one of them has to apologise" is a story.
It may not know recent canon
A new season, the latest chapter or a small fandom may be missing from what the model knows. It can also get a detail wrong and sound sure of it. When a fact matters to your fic, put it in the canon field: who the characters are, where in the timeline this sits, and what has happened so far. Check names and events against the source before you post.
An example
Asked for a wry, gen missing scene of about 800 words from Pride and Prejudice, in which Charlotte Lucas walks over to Longbourn the morning after the Meryton assembly and tells Elizabeth Bennet what she really thinks about marriage, set before Mr Collins arrives, an opening along these lines is what to expect:
Charlotte had walked over from Lucas Lodge before the dew was off the grass, which meant she had news or wanted some.
"You are composing a speech," she said. "I can see it from here."
"Only a short one," said Elizabeth. "It concerns a gentleman and his opinion of himself."
None of those lines is in the novel. They are new, written to sound like the two of them.

Is the fanfiction generator free?

Can it write an alternate universe or a crossover?
Yes. For an AU, say what changes and what stays: the same people in a different world. For a crossover, name both fandoms in the first field and say whose world the story happens in.
Can it write a long, multi-chapter fic?
It is better at one-shots. Hemmingway is stronger at short writing than at novels, so for a longer work, plan the chapters yourself and ask for one scene at a time. The guide to AI fanfiction has more on that.
Will it sound like AI?
