Type a name or a word, say who or what it is about, and Hemmingway writes an acrostic: one line for each letter, so the first letters spell the word when you read down. Add a few true things and the lines are about that person, not a row of compliments.
The lines are made from what you tell it. Leave the details out and you get a plainer poem, because it will not make up hobbies for someone it has never met.
What makes it work
- Go past the adjectives. Generous, Radiant, Amazing, Caring, Energetic: everyone has been given that one. A line that says what the person does is the one they keep.
- Let sentences run on. Each line has to start with its letter, but it need not be a sentence of its own.
- Keep the word short. Three to eight letters is comfortable. For a long name, use the short form the person goes by.
- Check the letters. Read the first letters downwards before you use it. AI models sometimes skip or swap a letter, more often in long words. If one is off, say which line and it fixes it.

Asked for a playful, unrhymed acrostic of GRACE for a niece who is seven, draws horses on everything, laughs at her own jokes and never wears matching socks, a poem along these lines is what to expect:
Galloping horses on every page,
Ready with a joke and first to laugh at it,
Always in two socks that do not match.
Can you tell she is seven?
Everyone can.
Every line is one of the details. None of them is "Gorgeous".
Names, words and school topics
A name is the usual choice: for a birthday card, a teacher at the end of term, a new baby. A word such as MUM or THANKS works the same way. For a school topic like WINTER or VOLCANO, put the facts the lines should cover in the details field and give the age of the class, so the words fit.
