There is no AI service with literally no restrictions, and a site that says it is one is selling you something. What does exist is AI with far fewer restrictions: models and apps for adults that write sex, violence and dark fiction without refusing or lecturing, and that keep a short list of things they never do. The closest thing to none at all is an open model running on your own computer, where the only rules left are the law and whatever the model learned in training.
So the useful question is which restrictions you want gone. This page sorts them out, explains why a few stay everywhere, and lists the real options. We make one of them, Hemmingway Unlocked, and say where it fits.
What people mean by no restrictions
The same search covers several different wishes. Work out which is yours, because the answer changes.

"AI with no filter" and "unfiltered AI" usually mean the first three. Those are reasonable things for an adult to want, and they are available.
Why no honest service has none
A hosted AI is run by people, on rented computers, paid for through a payment company. Each of those sets a floor.
- The law. Sexual content involving minors is illegal, and so is helping someone commit a serious crime. A service that ignores that does not last.
- Other people. A story about a made-up character hurts nobody. A sexual story about your colleague, or a plan to find out where someone lives, has a real person at the other end who never agreed to it.
- The company's own judgment. Somebody has to decide what the product is for. A service for adult fiction can say yes to nearly all fiction and still say no to being used as a weapon.
- The model. Every model was trained on something and leans some way. Even one with no instructions at all has habits.
There is also a plain practical point. A service with no rules has nobody checking anything, and that includes what happens to your chats and your card. A site that shouts "no limits" and has no rules page, no privacy page and no way to complain is telling you how it is run.
How to read a no-restrictions claim
Four quick checks separate an honest service from an advert.
- Find the list. An honest service says what it will not write, in plain words. If the only answer is "nothing", keep looking.
- Look for an age check. Adult content with no age check means nobody is minding the door.
- Read where chats go. Stored on their servers, kept in your browser, or never leaving your machine.
- Try it before you pay. Ask for a scene you care about. Fewer refusals are worth little if the writing is flat.
The real options
Run an open model yourself. This is the nearest thing to an AI without restrictions. Tools such as Ollama, LM Studio and KoboldCpp run open models on your own computer, nothing leaves it, and no company sets terms. The costs are hardware and time. Models small enough for a laptop write noticeably weaker text than large hosted ones. Uncensored LLMs covers how to choose one.
Use a hosted assistant made for adults. A normal chat app with an uncensored model behind it, and rules you can read. Hemmingway Unlocked is one. Venice, which describes itself as private and uncensored AI, is another. We have not tested Venice, so we do not rank it. Venice AI alternatives looks at that kind.
Use a character-chat site. Sites such as Janitor AI and SpicyChat are built around characters made by other users. They have rules too: SpicyChat's guidelines, for one, set a minimum age and ban several kinds of content. We have not tested them.
Stay with a mainstream assistant and ask differently. If what bothers you is hedging on ordinary questions, you may not need a new tool. Telling an assistant how you want answers, short and direct and without caveats, is a normal instruction and not a trick. It will not get you adult fiction. It asks whether you are 18 or over before anything else. Your chats stay on your device: kept in the browser, never saved to your account or our servers, and never trained on. Each message passes through our servers to be answered and is not kept. That also means chats do not sync between devices, and clearing the browser's data deletes them.

If you want ready-made characters by the thousand, use a character site. If you want images, look elsewhere, because Unlocked only writes.

Is there an AI with no restrictions?
Not a hosted one. Every service run by a company keeps some rules, and the honest ones list them. An open model on your own computer has no company rules, though the law still applies to you and the model still has habits from its training.
What is an AI with no filter?
People use it to mean an AI that does not refuse, warn or soften when an adult asks for sexual, violent or dark writing. It is the same idea as uncensored or unfiltered AI. It does not mean an AI that will do anything.
Is there a free AI with no restrictions?
