Fill in who you are writing to and what you are waiting on, and Hemmingway writes a short follow-up email. It reminds them what this is about in one line, asks one clear question, and stops. You read it, change what you like, and send it yourself.
It only uses what you give it. It will not invent a date, a deadline or something they said, so describe the situation as it actually is. If you leave out what you want from them, it keeps the ask simple.
What makes it work
Follow-ups go unanswered when they make the other person work to remember the context or guess what you want. This tool is set up to fix both: one line of context, one easy question, and nothing that sounds like a complaint.
- Say what happened and when. "I interviewed on Tuesday 6 October" is easier to answer than "about the job".
- Name the one thing you want. A date, a yes or no, a document. One ask gets a reply faster than three.
- Pick the tone. A nudge to a client and one to a friend who owes you a reply should not sound the same.

Thanks for your time, and I'm happy to send anything else you need.
No "just checking in", no reminder of how long it has been. If you want it warmer or more formal, ask in the chat and it rewrites it.
