What gives a reply rizz
- Paste their exact words. Charm is mostly listening. The reply should pick up their phrase, their joke or their question, and it cannot if you summarise.
- Say where you want it to go. A reply that keeps the chat going is different from one that leads to "are you free Saturday".
- Keep it in your voice. If your messages are smoother than you are, the first date gets harder.
- Read the signs honestly. One-word answers after three tries usually mean low interest, and no line changes that. If they have said no, the charming reply is "no worries, take care".
An example
Given the message "so what are you up to this weekend, anything fun or just hiding from the rain", from a match of one week who you have chatted with every day, with the aim of meeting up this weekend and a lower-case, dry way of texting, a reply along these lines is what to expect:

It answers the question, keeps their joke, and makes a plan easy to suggest without forcing one.
What it leaves out
