Paste the text you got, then write what you want to say back in a few words. Hemmingway writes a reply the way a person texts: short, natural, and in your voice. You read it, change what you like, and send it yourself.

It only uses what you give it. It will not make up a plan, an excuse or a detail you did not mention, so if something matters, put it in the second box. The words are yours to send or not.

What makes it work

  • Paste the message as it is. Their exact words, including the tone they used, help the reply fit the conversation.
  • Say your answer plainly. "Can't make it, work ran late, next week?" is enough. It turns that into something that reads well.
  • Say who it is from. A text to your partner, your boss and someone you met last week should not sound the same.
